Medina homecoming celebrated next week

Medina School will celebrate its homecoming week with a variety of activities beginning on Monday, Oct. 28, and ending on Saturday, Nov. 2.

The homecoming football game with Nueces Canyon will be at the Medina Stadium on Friday, Nov. 1, with the junior high team playing at 5 p.m. and the varsity game starting at 7:30 p.m.

At 6:45 p.m. on Friday, coronation ceremonies for Medina’s homecoming court will be held.

Homecoming activities scheduled during the week include Movie Nights at both the elementary and high school on Monday, Oct. 28, a Tailgating event at the bus barn parking lot at 6 p.m., followed by a homecoming pep rally at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, and a Trunk or Treat celebration followed by a carnival to celebrate Halloween on Thursday, Oct. 31.

Medina will hold a Homecoming Parade through town on Saturday, Nov. 2, beginning at 10 a.m., with an alumni reunion scheduled in the cafeteria at noon.

A barn blessing and an FFA lunch fundraiser also will be held that day at 11 a.m.

Throughout homecoming week, students and teachers will be allowed to wear theme-based costumes on designated days, including School Spirit Day on Friday, Nov. 1.
