Meals on Wheels seeks drivers

Posted in:

The Silver Sage center, which is the sole provider of Meals on Wheels in Bandera County, is looking for drivers and driver assistants to handle a new delivery route in the program for the Polly Peak – Bandera River Ranch area, which will have two routes serving it rather than one.

Drivers deliver nutritious meals to seniors who otherwise might not have access to a healthy meal each day.

Assistants in the program are called “jumpers” because they jump from the cars to taker the meals to a senior’s residence so the driver can prepare for the next delivery.

Anyone interested in taking part is asked to call John Cressey-Neely at 830-796-4969 or to stop by the Silver Sage at 803 Buck Creek Bandera to sign up.
