Roy Dugosh, a noted resident, and former chairman of the Bandera County Historical Commission spoke about the history of Bandera, remarking settled in the mid-1800’s coming from Silesia.Dugosh spoke about the impact of the Great Western Trail, citing ten million longhorn cattle and thirty-thousand cowboys passed through Bandera on their voyage north to the rail heads.
