Bandera High School’s Speech and Debate Team had a good showing at the Texas Forensic Association tournament at Boerne Champion High School on Nov. 2, school officials said. The team competed against 27 other schools at the tournament – most of them Classification 5-A and 6-A teams, meaning they were larger than Bandera High – and seven local competitors earned high rankings in their categories. Bandera’s Aidan Prater earned perfect speaker points in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate competition, giving him the top rank in the speaking component of that competition.
