INSANITY REIGNS

February 09, 2022 - 05:00

That’s clear when the national butterfly sanctuary in Mission, Texas has to “shut down indefinitely” to fend off attacks from right wing extremists who claim it operates a sex trafficking ring, according to news reports on February 3, 2022.

That’s also clear when U.S. schools are being forced to remove books about America’s racist history, examples include, “Martin Luther King Jr. and The March on Washington,” “We are the Ship: The Story of The Negro Baseball League,” “Separate is Never Equal” and “Walk Two Moons,” a book that “humanizes Native Americans.”

The proposed bans also include books about desegregating schools, how it’s OK for boys to like poetry and a book that OK’s interracial relationships. Some supporters of the bans are even insisting educators should teach “both sides of the Holocaust.”

If the real facts about history aren’t taught in America, we will raise a generation likely to ignore it and repeat it.
