Once over the fence, I’d have to cover about 20 yards to a sewage truck, crawl underneath said truck and place a magnetic GPS tracking device somewhere along its frame. Piece of cake.

Read moreModern day problems sometimes seem almost insurmountable when I take a look back and compare them to earlier times. In school I was always less than an entusiastic student. Generally I was thinking about what we were going to have for lunch and if my mom was going to let me go to the river instead of starting homework as soon as I came home. My motivation was lacking but there was always encouragement from teachers in some form or fashion.

Memories of baseball games and shooting some marbles in a game of “keepsies” until dark on those caliche fields are forever a part of me.
