The Silver Sage Meals on Wheels Program can help immediately. Call 830-796-4969 and speak with one of the Silver Sage Staff members. The program is expanding with the need. Right now, Silver Sage’s chef, James Moore, cooks 250 meals every day, five days a week. Seventeen Silver Sage Jeep drivers deliver the meals. At the same time, he cooks 80 to 100 meals every day for seniors in need who can get to the center for lunch.

The Gulf was calm. It didn’t take long for the 22 ft. patrol boat we were on to give way to the wind and current. We drifted in the darkness, being careful not to use any lights. We looked to the south mostly, because that would be the most likely direction a boat would come from if our information was correct. There wasn’t much to do other than watch, and wait, and drift.
