June 26, 1951 — Nov. 14, 2023. Randle Lee “Randy” Alanis passed from this life Nov. 14, at the age of 72, after a lengthy battle with heart disease. The fourth of five sons born to Dan C. Alanis, Jr. and Frances Polvogt Alanis, Randy grew up in and later raised his own family in the town he loved, Bandera. Playing football for the Bandera Bulldogs in the late 1960’s, Randy graduated with Bandera’s Class of 1970. After graduation, he married Bandera local Jeannie Ullrich and started a family.
