Bernhard Riesenkoenig, born June 12,1937, in Germany, passed away December 15, 2025. He fulfilled a boyhood dream of going to sea at age 17 and went on to serve as a Merchant Marine Captain, sailing worldwide for more than 52 years. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Norine Riesenkoenig, four children, thirteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Bernhard spent his retirement in Medina, Texas, where he loved his dogs, cats, and the wildlife around him.
