SHELLY DARLENE BOGGESS
SHELLY DARLENE BOGGESS
Shelly graduated from Bandera High School in 1970, where she was an active member of the cheerleading squad. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas State University—then known as Southwest Texas State University. She began her career at Louis Shanks in Austin, where she met her husband, Hal. Later, Shelly built a successful career as the owner of her own interior design business.
From the day Hal and Shelly married in April 1986, they began building a life filled with love and laughter. Over nearly 40 wonderful years together, they raised their son, Spencer— their greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.
Throughout her life, Shelly possessed an extraordinary eye for beauty and grace, infusing it into everything she touched. Her talent in interior design earned widespread admiration, but her artistry extended far beyond her profession. In her everyday life, she sought out beauty and created it with intention. Whether through her design work, her sewing, or the thoughtful details that made her home warm and inviting, Shelly’s care and creativity ensured her family always felt loved and cherished.
Shelly is survived by her devoted husband, Hal, and their cherished son, Spencer of Damascus, Oregon, along with her beloved grandson, Luke. She is also survived by her siblings: Debbie Wehmeyer, Billie Harper (Greg), Terry Tomlinson (Katie), and Lance Tomlinson (Maria); her sister-in-law, Deb Edwards (Van); and many extended family members and lifelong friends who will miss her dearly. Shelly was preceded in death by her parents.
A private memorial will be held for Shelly at a future date.
