MARTIN WAYNE HUEGELE

Martin Wayne Huegele of Pipe Creek, TX, passed away on April 15, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born on June 9, 1945, in Alice, Texas, the youngest child of Ernest and Anna Huegele Sr. He had four older brothers: Ernest Jr., Marvin, Herbert, and Walter. Martin was a farm-raised Renaissance man, accomplished in a variety of fields. As a child, he was tasked with shooting rattlesnakes on the family farm and quickly became an excellent marksman. He went on to become a Texas State Skeet Champion all four years of high school. After graduating, he earned his Master Electrician Certification and worked at Kelly Air Force Base as a USAF civilian aircraft maintainer. Later, Martin transitioned into automotive work, spending over 20 years at Mercedes-Benz as a shop foreman and master technician. Somehow, Martin also found time to help set up stages for iconic bands such as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young; the Doobie Brothers; AC/ DC; the Steve Miller Band; the Sex Pistols; and the Eagles, to name a few.

Martin will be deeply missed by the love of his life, Teresa. They were married exactly 30 years on the day of his passing. He is also remembered by his first wife, Sherry Powers, and their children: Linda Peterson, Larry Huegele, Melissa Nellis, and Katherine McCoy, as well as his youngest child, Seymora Alice Cleaver.

Martin’s legacy lives on through his 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren: Selicia, Skyla, Liam, Eoin, Sierra, Rodney, Keleigh, Madison, Michael, Megan, JP, Jacob, Kenia, Elijah and Diana.

The funeral service was held May 31st, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Bandera, TX.
