TRAVIS WAYNE BEDWELL

Travis was born in Clear Lake, Texas on October 9, 1979. He was raised in Bandera and graduated in 1998._ He enlisted in the Army National Guard for a year then went on to the Art Institute in Houston, where he graduated with a Graphic Design degree in 2000. After a few years in the industry, he decided he wanted to follow his dream of being a tattoo artist. He worked internship for a short time before eventually going to Killeen, Austin, Waco, San Antonio and finally landing in San Marcos. That was his home base but was often flown to California, Las Vegas, Florida and even down to Mexico for guest appearances. He fulfilled his dream and was finally doing what he was meant to do.
While in San Marcos he fulfilled another dream when he met/married the love of his life, Shoshanna Vandergriff; The couple was married on April 24, 2021._ They had 3 loving dogs that were their world: Danni an Australian Shepard, Ammo the kindest Pit Bull you’ve ever met and little Meeka, a mutt that gives daily hugs and kisses._ Travis was a very happy family man! In his spare time he had a little obsession with the Price is Right game show! Just something about coming on down!
Travis is survived by his wife Shoshanna, his mother Laura Jo Simmons, his Aunt Rita Krampitz and husband Jake, his Uncle Johnny Bridges and wife Roxanne, cousin’s Hannah LeMeilluer, Zayne Le-Meilleur, Brittany Bridges, Brianna Vasquez, Bekah Bridges and Jett Bridges.
Travis had many friends from Bandera and all over that he held true to his heart. He loved to make people smile and laugh as much as possible even in this last year when he suffered so much pain. He always had a positive outlook till the very end of his battle with cancer.
He is no longer in pain and is in the arms of the Lord our God.
They made his booth at Our Lady Tattoo in San Marcos a memorial where his art and tattoos will live forever.
