Yesterday, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) launched the 29th Oral Rabies Vaccination Program vaccine bait airdrop. Nearly 814,000 oral rabies vaccine baits, roughly 64-70 baits per square mile, will be dropped.DSHS said in a statement last week that flights began in Edinburg and will continue for roughly two weeks, with vaccine airdrops occurring along the southern Texas border.
