The Christian Women’s Job Corps is taking applications for its next training session until Aug. 27, job corps officials said. Mentor training for the upcoming session will be on Aug. 28, and orientation for participants will be on Aug. 31. Classes will start Sept. 1 and continue through Nov. 19, with a graduation date of Nov. 20. The job corps is a free training program for adult women providing “a safe Christ-centered environment that encourages spiritual, professional and personal growth,” according to the corps’ mission statement.
