In a battle of the Bulldogs, the Bandera Lady Bulldogs triumphed over Somerset Lady Bulldogs in three straight games to win the match on Tuesday, September 7, at home.

Bandera came out with aggressive play to begin the game.

Shaely Rogers started the game with power spikes and blazing serves to Somerset. Excellent play by Summer Haby kept Bandera in the lead. Quinlyn Taylor rounded out the game with a successful and consistent game at the service line.

Bandera won 25 to Somerset’s 20.

In game two of the match, Bandera took an early lead and kept the pressure on Somerset.

Bandera showed a talent for capitalizing on Somerset’s errors.

Summer Haby showed an exceptional amount of focus in her play diving for the ball and throwing herself into the game 100 percent. This over-the-top effort should be known as the “Haby Hustle.”

Bandera won with a solid lead of 25 to Somerset’s 15.

In the final game of the match, Bandera and Somerset dueled back and forth, with each side advancing no more than a point or two ahead during the game.

The Bandera Lady Bulldogs hit their stride and pulled ahead, winning 25 to Somerset’s 21.

Maci Morrison and Taylor Hamilton made a dynamic duo at the net, blocking Somerset’s spikes with ease. Stella Brown’s important spike gained the Bulldogs a point and helped them push ahead of Somerset.

On September 9, the Lady Bulldogs started a road trip going to Wimberley, LaVernia, Ingram, and Llano. They will return home to play Boerne on September 24.
