Susan Meredith Sherer (Sue) Verciglio passed away peacefully in San Antonio, TX, on August 8, 2021, at the age of 77.

She is survived by sisters Linda Felten and Sherrie Jolin: sons Dominick Verciglio and Todd Verciglio; stepdaughters Elizabeth Daly and Kimberly Verciglio Martorano; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Dominick James Verciglio of Bandera, TX.

Sue Verciglio was born on March 29, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, to parents Irving and Helen Sherer.

Sue married Dominick J Verciglio in 1968 in Las Vegas, NV. They welcomed their first son, Dominick, in September of 1970 and then their youngest son, Todd, in May of 1974. Her family moved to Bandera, TX, in June of 1982.

Sue, affectionately known as Yia-Yia, was accomplished at fishing and often told tales of her fishing in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, where she enjoyed vacationing with her family. She was a passionate individual who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a beloved friend to many and maker of the “World’s Greatest French Toast”.

She will be buried with her husband at Pipe Creek Cemetery. There will be a life celebration at a later date. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sue’s life.
