Stephen Michael Walters of Pipe Creek, Texas, passed away at the young age of 44 on Dec. 29, 2019 due to complications of the flu.

He was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, to Chief Master Sgt. (Retired) Thomas J. Walters of Lakehills, Texas and Christine Ann Walters of Pipe Creek, Texas.

He grew up in Pipe Creek and graduat ed from Bandera High School.

He went on to attend the University of Alabama and continued to be a super fan of Alabama football as well as Dallas Cowboys football.

He was proud of his profession as a corrections officer for the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office for almost 13 years.

Stephen is preceded in death by his brother Thomas Joshua Walters Jr.

He leaves behind his grieving family of his wife, Sheri Walters, their four children McKenzie, Rheagan, Aiden and Harper, his parents Tom and Chris Walters and other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Gateway Church in Bandera, Texas, on Friday, Jan. 24, at 3 p.m.
