Nancy Overton Thompson, 85, of Utopia, Texas passed away on November 16, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Spearman, Hansford County, Texas to Everett and Rhoda Tower Overton on December 20, 1935.

Nancy married Norman (Bud) P. Thompson on June 25,1954 in Spearman, Texas.

She graduated from Spearman High School in 1954 and earned a B.A. from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She owned and operated a real estate and insurance agency, Thompson Ranch Realty, for 50 years in Utopia, Texas. She served as a Bandera County Commissioner. She had a passion for oil painting and was involved in the Utopia arts and crafts. She had a rare deep richness of love for her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. She was an overseer and faithful member at Living Waters Church, Utopia, Texas.

Nancy Thompson is preceded in death by husband Bud Thompson, parents, and son-in-law Tom Mauldin and her second husband Pat Westerfield.

Nancy is survived by daughter Cindy Mauldin, son Steve Thompson (Barbara), grandchildren Thomas Mauldin (Tammy), Marisa Mauldin Hathorn (Chase), Philip Thompson, Mark Thompson, and James Thompson (Darby Alice). Great grandchildren Conner Mauldin, Liam Mauldin, Titan Hathorn, John Mauldin, and Hayes Hathorn.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday November 20, 2021, at Vanderpool Cemetery with Robert Richarz officiating.

Pallbearers are Thomas Mauldin, Conner Mauldin, Chase Hathorn, Philip Thompson, Mark Thompson, James Thompson, Jason Yeager, Todd Yeager, and Dennis Yeager.

Memorials may be given to any charity of your choice.
