LESTER QUINTON COX

Lester Quinton Cox, 98, of Mico, Texas passed away on April 15, 2023, in Bandera, Texas. He was born in Hope, Arkansas to William & Maude Cox on January 14, 1925. He married Mary Ellen Cox on March 28, 1990, in Miller County, Arkansas.

He worked 35 years as a bus driver for what is now Metro Transit. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the US Navy, aboard the USS Mantanikau during World War II.

Lester is preceded in death by Mary Francis Cox, Dana L. Alligood, and Caddie B. Cox.

Lester is survived by children; Kevin & Rita Cox, Robin & Kerry Weeks, and Wayne & Tommie Cox; Sister Gail Brunette; and grandchildren William Cox, Rebecca Cox, Melissa Cox, Cynthia Cox, Sarah Weeks, and Lauren Alligood. Additionally, Lester has ten great grandchildren and 2 greatgreat grandchildren.

The burial will be at 11:00 am, April 20, 2023, at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota, Texas. The family of Lester wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to Kelsey Vandermeulen and Dalton Whitten for their unconditional love and support over the last three years.
