Holly Ann Baker, 55, of Bandera, Texas, passed away on Nov. 5 at home at her ranch in Bandera, Texas. She was born in Houston, Texas to Jerry and Rebecca Baker on Dec. 14, 1963.

Holly graduated from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas in 1985 and achieved her master’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, Colorado, Class of 1993.

She trained and worked with the Olympic Cycling Team in Colorado. Holly also achieved the level of Black Belt in karate.

Holly was a keen supporter of local charities and was a founding member of Rebecca’s Foundation, created to honor the memory of her mother lost to cancer and committed to supporting charities dedicated to finding a cure.

Growing up ranching in Central Texas with her parents and sister, she maintained a lifelong love of animals and was a generous supporter of all youth livestock shows and 4-H activities in Bandera County.

Holly loved all animals and surrounded herself at her ranch in the Hill Country with horses, goats, chickens and her beloved dogs, Murphy, Maddie and Sassy Marie and her parrot Maggie.

Holly is preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Sue Harrison Baker.

Holly is survived by her longtime sweetheart, Eric Tosdale, sister Heidi Wyatt, and her father Jerry Baker.

Graveside services will be family only.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes any memorials to go to Peterson Hospice Care, 250 Cully Dr., Kerrville, Texas, 78028.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.
