We regretfully announce that Beau Shane Willoughby, 55, of Pipe Creek, Texas, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from natural causes. Beau was born on September 3, 1967 in Pleasanton, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his sister Shannon Laine Willoughby, his grandparents W.J. & Mary Lee Lawson and Frank & Ruth Willoughby. He is survived by his parents Les & Gail Willoughby, his children Beau Shane Willoughby II (Deuce), Bethany Shannon & David Kupfernagel, and Shelbi Laine Boomgarden-Willoughby, his grandchildren DeShaun Harrison Smith, John Henry & Brinley Anne Kupfernagel, his sister Misty & John Gonzales and nephews Max & Alex Willoughby-Gonzales.

Beau attended schools primarily in Poteet and Bandera where he ran track, and graduated from BHS in 1986. He served in the United States Navy after high school. He was an avid Longhorns fan, loved spending time at the beach & listening to good music, and was an amazing carpenter & cook. He was sweet, funny, and lived his life to the fullest. He loved his kids and his family, and he was a really cool friend. He had just recently moved back home to the Hill Country, near his parents and sister, and was enjoying fixing up his new place and rekindling his relationship with his High School sweetheart Cheryl. It brings us all great peace to know that he was so happy this last year of his short life.

Rest in peace, dude. No more pain…..

Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on July 19, 2023 at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel.
