Ada Grace Wharton, 82, of Bandera passed away on September 3rd, 2022, at home in Bandera, Texas. She was born in Sinton, Tx to Fred W. and Annie Ender on September 25th, 1939. She was married to Ray Wharton on July 22nd, 1970.

She attended Bandera High School and graduated in 1957. She went to work right out of high school for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service ( ASCS ) office of Bandera county. In 1967 she went on to work for Bandera First State Bank, where she later retired as Vice President.

She is preceded in death by her parents Fred W. and Annie Ender, her sister Anna Cook and her beloved husband Ray Wharton.

She is survived by her beloved dog Ryder and her cats Stinker, Lucky, Rusty, Blackie, and Yeller. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as friends that are family.

Visitation will be Saturday September 10th at 4:30pm to 6:30pm at Grimes Funeral Home.

Funeral Service was held Sunday September 11th at 2:00pm at Grimes Funeral Home. Burial followed at the Bandera Cemetery. Reception followed at Grace Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be given to Frontier Times Museum, Bandera, Tx. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to our nurses, Maggie L Hernandez, Elvira Chavez, Cassie Richardson and Laura Hernandez
