Murder warrant issued after body identified as missing man

A search is underway for a woman wanted in connection with a homicide probe following the discovery of missing Bandera County man’s remains.

According to a Nov. 22 news release from the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office, an autopsy confirmed the body recovered Nov. 17 in Crockett County is Robert Isaacks, 88.

Freda Thomas, age unavailable and also known to go by Michelle, is charged in a warrant with murder, according to investigators. She was last seen with Isaacks, deputies said.

“If anyone should see her, please do not approach her. Just call the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office at the following number, 830-796-3771,” read the release from the county. “We appreciate any help in locating this Ms. Freda Thomas.”

Authorities told the Bulletin A UPS driver discovered the body east of Ozona on I-10 around 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, on the median between the interstate’s westbound lanes and access road.

According to Facebook posts from family members, Isaacs was last seen at a Flying L Ranch residence with Thomas on a Ring camera at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15.

A missing’s person report was filed Friday, Nov. 17.

A sheriff’s representative was not available for comment, but a recent Facebook post featuring photos and a physical description of Isaacks asked for the public’s help in locating him.
