Lakehills Library Update
Sunday, October 31, the library will host its annual Halloween Trick or Treat around our track. All kiddos and creatures are welcome to join us for some candy gathering fun!
If you would like to volunteer to hand out candy at the annual Halloween Track-or-Treat from 5-7 p.m. or would like to donate unopened bags of candy for the event, please come by the library or call us at 830-510-2777.
Market Day at the library is on Saturday November 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Local vendors of handmade and craft items, jewelry, food, and more will be at the library to help you get your holiday shopping done early and locally. Breakfast tacos and coffee will be for sale by the Library Board.
Early Voting continues through October 29th, and Election Day is Tuesday, November 2. Voting is in the library Meeting Room. The Lakehills Library and Community Association will have it’s monthly board meeting on Wednesday, November 10, at 4:30 p.m. The library’s First Saturday book sale is November 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hardbacks for only $1.50, children’s books and soft covers are $.50! All money raised by our book sales goes to fund library programs and materials.
Preschool story time is every Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. The kids will be entertained by Miss Dianna reading books, and they will get to sing songs and make preschool crafts designed to teach basic skills so that they are school ready.
Book club meets the second Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m. at the library. On November 6, we will be discussing “The Invisible Life of Addie la Rue” by V. E. Schwab. A free yoga class for all ages is happening every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Lakehills Library Meeting Room. Please bring a mat and water. The Library will be closed on Thursday, November 25, to Sunday, November 28, for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Dianna Landes is the Director of the Lakehills Area Library.
