Summer Reading is coming! The Lakehills Area Library will have summer reading programs every Wednesday at 10:30 am starting June 8th until Wednesday August 3rd. Each week a different performer or craft will be offered free of charge to children of all ages, thanks to a grant of $3,016 from the Bandera Electric Cooperative Foundation. The library will have a morning show each week at the library and an afternoon show at the Hill Country Elementary Boys and Girls Club to encourage children to read all summer long.

Schedule:

• June 8th: The Magic of Reading Magic Show with Richard Blake

• June 15th: A visit from San Antonio Zoo Animal Ambassadors Team

• June 22nd: Balloon Bending and Storytelling with Mark Fuller

• June 29th: Crafting paper lantern sea creatures

• July 6th: Collage Crafting and Art Show

• July 13th: Happy Tails Entertainment

• July 20th: Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Ranger Visit

• July 27th: Socktapus Crafting

The second and fourth Tuesday of every month from 1pm-3pm, a representative from Centromed/Enroll SA will be at the library to help people register for the Healthcare Marketplace, CHIP, and Medicaid.

If you have questions about healthcare, you should come by and speak with Mary, you might be surprised at what you qualify for. They will be at the Lakehills Library June 14th and 28th, 1-3pm.

Friday, May 27th, 11AM, The Lakehills Library will host the second of its new technology education classes. Lakehills Area Library is working with AARP Senior Planet to bring our community quality technology education for all ages. We will be starting with a series of one hour lectures on technology topics.

On Friday May 27th 11am-noon Dianna will be teaching a class about online security. Being safe and secure online is an important thing to learn about so we welcome you to join us for this one hour class. These classes are free to all and we would love to have suggestions on technology topics that you would like to learn more about.

Dianna Landes is the Director of the Lakehills Area Library.
