Editor’s Note: The following is an election announcement for a local candidate. The Bulletin grants local candidates an election announcement free of charge, with all following election materials charged an ad fee. This particular announcement was charged a fee to run in color.

Hello, my name is Joe Kitzman, and I’m running for the Republican Precinct Chairman for voting precinct 305. I’m a lifelong conservative Republican, and I’m running for this office because I believe each of us must have the right and privilege for the opportunity to vote in a free and fair election process. I have avoided political involvement in the past, but I am now compelled to run for this office.

My roots have been in Bandera County for a very long time, beginning when I was 3 years old and my family moved here and bought Peaceful Valley Ranch on the old Ridge Route Road, now named Peaceful Valley Road. My sister, Karen, and I attended all 12 grades at the Bandera Public Schools. Following high school graduation, I attended Texas A&M University, and graduated with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. After leaving Texas A&M, I am proud to have served as a Veterinary Medical Officer in the United States Air Force.

My veterinary profession took me to job locations in several interesting states, but I felt very fortunate when in 2001, I had the opportunity to move back to the ranch here in Bandera. I became a part of the US Department of Agriculture and have been with the Department since then, to the present.

I have supported the young people who have exhibited animals at the Bandera County Livestock Show at the sale since 2011. I have been a member of the Ranchers’ and Landowners’ Association and have supported the ranch rodeos and PRCA rodeos here in Bandera since 2012. My involvement in the community has been focused on its youth and our heritage of agriculture and cowboying, all of which I believe are essential to our community’s successful existence.

I was raised with the country values of hard work, respect for one another and respect for this gorgeous land. I believe that the protection of these values start at, and are rooted in, the Precinct where we vote. If you share these values, please join me at early voting, May 16 – 20 or on May 24, 2022, and cast your vote for Joe Kitzman for Precinct Chair of Precinct 305. I humbly thank you for your time and consideration.

Pol. Adv. Authorized by and Pd. For by the Candidate, Joe Kitzman, Treasurer Joe Kitzman, 1011 Peaceful Valley Rd., Bandera, TX, 78003.
