Historical commission seeks new members

Do you have a love of history? Interested in the history of Bandera County?

The Bandera County Historical Commission is currently seeking candidates to serve on the commission.

The Bandera County Historical Commission is committed to the promotion and preservation of the county’s historical heritage.

Commission members perform a variety of duties including the creation and placement of historical markers, promoting historical tourism, and the preservation and documentation of local cemeteries and historic sites. They serve a term of two years.

Interested individuals are asked to submit a Letter of Intent to serve that includes a brief biography, areas of historic interest and state why you would like to serve.

Commission members will review the letters and choose a roster of candidates to be approved by the Bandera County Commissioners Court.

Deadline for submission is December 21, 2022.
