HEALTH FAIR PROVIDES FREE RESOURCES

A Bandera County resident receives a flu shot earlier on Nov. 19 during the Wharton’s Dock Fall Festival and Resource Fair, which was held at Walker Community Church and hosted by the church, Lakeshore, VFD and Copper Lantern. The Texas Department of State Health Services administered COVID booster shots and flu shots for free at the event, and the Silver Sage gave away chili, hoodies, masks, sanitizer, laundry detergent, toiletries, diapers, wipes and cleaning supplies.The Health Collaborative gave away home COVID-19 test kits, while the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic provided blood pressure and sugar screenings. Additionally, EnrollSA Federal Navigators gave free Marketplace assistance.
