Flying L garages turn into stores for a day

The annual Flying L Community Yard Sale was open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. last Saturday for house owners to sell items to residents from inside and outside the ranch.

The event was a success, with people coming from nearby and even out of town to peruse items for sale.

Jessica Kline of Boerne was looking for a new or better golf bag with clubs for her nephew and found it at Flying L house owner Steve Ricker’s garage.

“My nephew, Nathan Jilek, got really excited and happy to get the golf bag and clubs,” Kline said.

At a house not far away, Jeff and Karen Antill from Pipe Creek found what they wanted: a colorful float they could attach to their boat and ride on.

Seller Sandi Johnston helped the Antills put the boat float on a truck. and all said it was a good deal.
