The Bandera cross country season kicks off Saturday, August 20, with a relay at Bandera High School, and Brooke Ashcraft is excited for what the season holds.

“We had our first day of practice today. I am very excited about the work that the girls have put in over the summer and to see what they can accomplish not only individually, but as a team as well,” said Ashcraft, who is BISD’s assistant Athletic Director and the Head Girls Cross Country Coach.

The season continues the following weekend in August, with the high school team heading to Chaparral on Friday, August 26, and the midde school team to Boerne on Saturday, August 27.

On September 3, both high school and middle school teams will travel to Feast before returning home for a home meet on September 10.

Both teams will travel to Ingram on September 17, but only the JV team will head to Tivy on September 21.

The middle school team will face off against Boerne South on September 24, while the varsity team will be at the Texas A&M Invitational the same day.

The high school team will travel to the Sequin Matador Invite on October 1, then to District at Fredericksburg on October 13.

Regionals will be held at Corpus Christi on October 24 and 25.

State will be held at Round Rock on November 4 and 5.
