Chamber elects new leaders, schedules gala

The Bandera County Chamber of Commerce announced its newly elected leadership earlier this month and also revealed details regarding the 2023 Chamber Awards Banquet to be held later this year.

The chamber’s new board members are Elisabeth Cox, Josh Koviak, Jaki Perkins and Linda Wilder.

Newly hired Executive Director James Hernandez express his thanks to chamber members who cast their votes for board positions.

“We look forward to a very productive 2023 at the Chamber and would like to thank you for your continued support,” he announced in a release.

The chamber’s newly elected board is: Angela Munoz, President Kimberly Maddox, Vice President Adela Walsleben, Treasurer Janice Taylor, Secretary “Our newly elected board, along with our volunteers and ambassadors, represent a huge asset to the Bandera County business community,” Hernandez told the Bulletin. “We are excited to be working together to continue our mission to help our community and members prosper.”

The chamber also announced it will hold its annual Awards Banquet on Jan. 28 at Bandera Brewery from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Tickets, priced at $15 for chamber members and $20 for non-members, come with two drink tickets and can be obtained online at banderatex.com or by calling the chamber at 830-796-3280.

Awards slated for the evening include Cowboy Capital Award, Citizen of the Year, Business Community Service Award, Volunteer of the Year, Director’s Award and the Wilton Crider Cowboy Preservation Award. The event also features door prizes, a chance to win Cowboy Mardi Gras passes, and music from Yosh & Yimmy. The brewery is located at 3540 Hwy 16 S in the Bandera Landing center.
