The March 5 Republican Primary will see contested races for Bandera County Republican Party Chair, some party precinct chairs, Bandera County Sheriff, County Tax Assessor-Collector County Commissioner for Precinct 1 and County Constable for Precinct 2.

Mark Miller and Conrad Streigl are the candidates for Chair of the Bandera County Republican Party. Current party chair David Allen will not be seeking reelection. Incumbent Daniel R. (Dan) Butts, Will Dietrich and Josh Teitge are listed on the Texas Secretary of State’s website as candidates for Bandera County Sheriff. Dietrich’s occupation is listed as Flight Officer, Tietge’s as police officer.

In the race for County Tax Assessor-Collector, incumbent Rebekah “Reba” Dolphus will face off against Andrea K. Jankoski, assistant county auditor.

Current Precinct 1 County Commissioner Bruce Eliker did not file for reelection. Candidates for his replacement are Michael Devine and Troy W. Konvicka. Both are listed as county employees on the Texas Secretary of State’s website.

Precinct 2 Constable incumbent Greg Spengler will face off against James “Bubba” Popham, whose occupation is listed as self-employed construction.
