Bandera Library Happenings

There is always so much going on at the Library be sure to subscribe to our monthly newsletter for an easy way to keep track of it all. It’s easy, free and we promise to only send you one e-mail a month. Today at 4 p.m. our weekly Sit-an-Stitch meets and it is BYOS: Bring Your Own Stitching.

Tomorrow, January 27, we have our weekly Storytime from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Join Miss Pattie for reading, crafts, songs and dance. Preschool kids are all welcome.

On Thursday we also have an author visit from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Amazon.com’s bestselling author Gail Kittleson will be here to discuss her newest book is called “Land that I Love: A Novel of the Texas Hill Country.”

Set in the German Hill Country during World War II, the book is a story of the struggles of survival during difficult times and the need to be good neighbors despite our differences. Gail will be here to talk about her book and sign copies. Be sure to stop by!

Saturday is our weekly Dungeons and Dragons group meet up in the Downstairs meeting room. Go on an adventure with the group from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Other events this week include our weekly Official Pokemon League on Mondays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Also check out our new Girls Who Code club on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. in the Teen Center. This is for girls aged 6 and up who would like to learn how to build websites, make computer games, animate in movies or videos. The Bandera Library is open Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Curbside service is available for checkouts and business services. Free Wi-Fi is available 24/7.
