Editor’s Note: The following is an election announcement from a local candidate, which the Bulletin grants for free to all local candidates. All following materials are charged and fee.

Dennis Fitzgerald filed on the 13th (the official deadline), to run for county judge, he ran four years ago and knows the votes are there for him to win this round.

His main message: County Services and Government are for ALL citizens of this county, and equal services uniformly applied, regardless of subdivision or location!

A Bandera county resident for over a decade and a “native” born in the hill country! He's highly familiar with the operations of government in small rural counties such as Bandera. Not a career politician or lifetime government employee, he's a working man and can get it done with a ballpoint pen, or a hammer, “whatever it takes”, he gets it done!

Dennis is a U.S. Air Force veteran 1975-81, and a disabled veteran / Retired businessman Arbitrator and credentialed Mediator, with decades of tough negotiating and structuring of transactions. A pilot, father, grandfather and cowboy at heart.

Owner of several businesses over more than four decades, he knows the struggle and issues of the small businesses and seeks to support all of our businesses in the county. Less government interference with small businesses.

Dennis served on the board of the largest youth organization in the county, has served as a Municipal Judge and Texas Magistrate in his 20's. And has kept abreast of the issues in the courts occupationally for years. Especially juvenile courts.

He is a retired Investigator, Security Consultant, Arbitrator and Mediator, with his work scope engaging in both civil and criminal cases.

Mr. Fitzgerald wants more transparency in county government, completion of many projects, which have actually stretched out over decades, let's get these things done, now! Including upgrading the rodeo arena at mansfield park, long overdue.

“it's a matter of prioritizing things to be actually finished, before spending millions more on new projects”. “and no more back door deals on county business” everything should be very transparent at all times.

We are approaching a crisis in this county right now! We are experiencing growth like no other time before, and there is no indication of it letting up.

We must take measures to protect the most valuable commodity we have, water!

We have got to evaluate the “signing off” on developments being plotted and prepared for the next wave of new neighborhoods. A simple drive around the county and it's obvious – growth is here now!

He wants young people engaged in county politics!

This next generation needs to step up, step in, and get involved! Don't know where to start? “contact his campaign”! Your own future is at stake.

It is so important, to get the 20-50 year old voters, to have input into the future governance of this county. Dennis does not just want your vote, he wants you to vote ahead, for your own future!DENNIS FITZGERALD

This press release was read and I approved this message, I want your support and i need your vote.

What can i do for you? That's exactly why i'm running!
