RECYCLING PROGRAM ASSISTANCE

As a regular contributor to the Bandera recycling program started this year, I am very disappointed to learn that the county cannot come to the aid of this organization and help provide the bailing and removal of the mountain of recycling at the site. If the value of this mountain is $4,400, surely a provider can be hired to handle this task. There is no need for this program to turn a profit. If its costs can be offset by selling the cardboard, plastic and aluminum that is a WIN for the county. I would hate to see this program go away for lack of someone to bail and haul the materials. These volunteers work hard in the hot sun every Saturday. The least the county can do is help out with the bailing and hauling at ZERO cost to the county.
