Dear Friends, Family, and Community, We hope this message finds you well. We are excited to invite you to a special event that holds great significance for our association. As you may know, we are dedicated to preserving the rich history and heritage of Polly, Texas, a historic settlement nestled in southeast Bandera County. Our mission is to ensure that this unique Tejano town’s legacy lives on for generations to come.

Over the years, with your support, we have achieved remarkable milestones, from restoring cherished landmarks to organizing community- driven initiatives. Today, we are thrilled to share the progress we’ve made on the historic Polly’s Schoolhouse.

Our board has been hard at work, fundraising and making improvements to the schoolhouse. We recently completed a significant phase in its interior restoration - the doors and windows, walls, ceilings, and floors. Once fully restored, Polly’s Schoolhouse will transform into a thriving community center, a micro museum, and a learning center for our children. Furthermore, we are taking steps to register Polly’s Schoolhouse as an official Texas State Historical landmark.

Please join us on October 28, 2023, for an association Open House at Polly’s Schoolhouse to kick off the next phase of restoration which will focus on the landscaping, gate, and fence. The event will run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We have a delightful morning planned for you, complete with refreshments, guided tours, and most importantly, a chance to immerse yourself in the history that makes our community unique. This event is free and open to everyone in the community. Your support is crucial to preserving our heritage. By coming together, we can ensure that the stories of Polly, Texas, continue to inspire and educate future generations.

For more details, including directions to Polly’s Schoolhouse, please visit our website at pollytexaspioneerassociation. org or reach out to us at (210) 892-0135.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to celebrating with you on October 28th. Together, we can make history!

Best regards, Rudi R. Rodriguez Vice Chairman Polly Texas Pioneer Association
