CINDY RENA SEARCY

Cindy Rena Searcy, 53, of Lakehills, passed away on March 24th in Lakehills. She was born in Excelsior Springs, MO to Charles III and Sandra Ellis on March 16th, 1970. She married Joe Searcy on January 30th, 1999, in Bandera, TX.

She graduated from Medina High School in 1988. She owned her own cleaning company for 30 years. She was involved with Saint Christopher’s Episcopal Church. Cindy is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents Charles III and Sandra, her brother Charles IV and her niece Ashley Ellis. Cindy is survived by her spouse Joe Searcy, her children David Chapman II, Brittain Chapman, Michaela Ellis-Searcy, Charles Ellis-Searcy, James Berringer, Amy Searcy, Joe Searcy Jr, her sisters Candy Metcalf and Cheryl Walker, her grandchildren Conner, Avery, Chloe, grand-dog Chaos, Violette, Cooper, Dominic, Brielle, Bodhi, Thomas, Xander, Daxton, Lillah Mae, and Robert. Cindy was a devoted mother and grandmother, who loved spoiling her grandchildren and creating new crafts in her spare time. She was very free spirted and lived her life with love every day. She brought joy and light to everyone around her.

Funeral Services will be held March 31st at 12pm at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel with Father Rob Harris of St Christophers Episcopal Church. A secondary funeral will be held April 6th at 12pm located in Bolivar, MO at Pitts Chapel of Greenlawn Funeral. Burial will follow at Pittsburg Missionary Baptist in Missouri.

Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 1214 Mulberry, Bandera, TX 78003. Cindy’s family would like to extend our sincere thanks to her Oncology and Radiation Team and Alamo Hospice for helping us care for her in her time of need. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel.
