The Bandera County Convention and Visitors Bureau will host a meeting Nov. 12 to discuss advertising funding opportunities for events expected to generate overnight stays in the county.
According to a CVB press release, the meeting will focus on the fiscal year 2026-27 special allocation of advertising funds.
Grant applications will be available for nonprofit and for-profit organizations seeking possible advertising reimbursement awards for qualifying events.
The application deadline is Dec. 16, 2026.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at American Legion Post 157 in Bandera. Event planners, including representatives of nonprofit and for-profit organizations, are encouraged to attend.
The meeting also will provide an opportunity for current and prospective event organizers to discuss upcoming activities and collaborate on the county's 2027 events calendar, with an emphasis on events that encourage visitors to stay overnight.
The CVB will share information about event promotion opportunities, including submission requirements for the Texas Highways magazine event calendar, which requires advance planning.
Organizations do not have to receive an advertising grant to benefit from the CVB's promotional assistance. According to the press release, the bureau promotes Bandera County events through its website, social media channels, calendar of events and flyer distribution, regardless of whether a monetary advertising grant is awarded.
