The Bandera High School cross country teams competed at Sept. 24’s Uvalde Pete Belman Cross Country Invitational, with both varsity and junior varsity girls teams earning second-place finishes.
The varsity girls finished second overall with 42 points. Kaylee Fried led the Lady Bulldogs with a sixth-place finish, followed by Milesia Casas in seventh, Cassi Williams in ninth, Aubrie Moore in 12th, Veronica Ibarra in 13th and Addison Ashcraft in 14th. All six runners earned medals.
The junior varsity girls also finished second, scoring 46 points. Autumn Prater led Bandera with a fifth-place finish, followed by Amy Rodriguez in sixth and Jayla Hinojo in 14th. All three earned medals.
The varsity boys finished eighth overall. Luciano Martinez led the Bulldogs with a 32nd-place finish and a time of 18 minutes, 40 seconds.
The junior varsity boys finished 11th overall. Kohltun Richardson led Bandera, placing 48th with a time of 22:49.
