The Rotary Club of Kerrville is marking its 100th anniversary with three significant achievements, including recognition as Rotary District 5840’s Large Club of the Year and the district’s selection as District of the Year by Rotary International’s Zone 25B.
Founded in 1926, the Rotary Club of Kerrville has spent a century supporting the Kerrville community and other communities through service projects, scholarships, leadership development, youth programs and humanitarian efforts.
The club has remained committed to Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self,” throughout its history.
The club’s recognition as District 5840’s Large Club of the Year reflects the involvement of its members in service projects and partnerships throughout the Hill Country and beyond.
Rotary District 5840 was also recently named District of the Year among the districts in Rotary International’s Zone 25B. The district received commendations in all four Rotary Roadmap strategic priority areas: Membership, Public Image, The Rotary Foundation and Polio.
The district’s Membership and Public Image programs were recognized as the best in the zone, contributing to the District of the Year honor.
District 5840 also recorded membership growth during the 2025-26 Rotary year, chartering five new clubs and recording a net gain of 39 members.
“This is truly a special moment for our club,” said Danielle Jenschke, public information officer for the Rotary Club of Kerrville. “To celebrate 100 years of service while being named Large Club of the Year and belonging to a district recognized as the very best in the zone is an incredible honor.”
Jenschke said the honors recognize generations of Rotarians who have contributed their time and resources to the organization.
“These achievements belong to the generations of Rotarians who have dedicated their time, talents, and resources to creating positive change in our community and around the world,” she said.
As the club begins its second century, members plan to continue focusing on leadership development, local community needs and humanitarian efforts.
The club will continue its centennial celebrations throughout the year while honoring past members and encouraging a new generation of Rotarians to become involved.
