Bandera Brewery is gearing up for a full day of beer, games, live music and German food when Bandera Beerfest returns Saturday, Sept. 19.

“Beerfest is a special event every year, and this year is going to be jampacked” said Johnny Oliver, co-owner of Bandera Brewery.

The festivities will include several beer-themed competitions, beginning with Brewery Pong at 12:30 p.m. Keg Hold will follow at 3:30 p.m., with the Stein Hold competition scheduled for 3:45 p.m.

Beerfest also will feature the special release of Bandera Brewery’s Oktoberfest Märzen Lager, giving attendees an opportunity to enjoy the seasonal beer as part of the celebration.

Live music will be provided by The Nightcrawlers from 4 to 7 p.m.

Food will be available from The Schnitzel Box, featuring German fare to complement the Oktoberfest theme. The neighboring Jimmy’s Burgers will also have food options for order.

Oliver said the goal is to create an event that feels like a true community celebration.

“Bandera is our home, and we love being able to put events like this together for the community,” he said. “We want people to come out, have fun, listen to some music, try some great beer and make some memories.”

Game tickets are available at BanderaBrewery. com/BanderaBeerfest and in person at the brewery.

Beerfest begins Saturday, Sept. 19, at Bandera Brewery, 3540 Hwy 16 S. There is no admission fee.
