The Bandera High School cross country teams hosted their annual relay meet Friday, Aug. 21, at Alkek Elementary, with the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs claiming eight of the meet’s top 10 positions.
For the relay-style competition, each athlete was paired with a teammate. Runners alternated onemile legs, with each athlete completing a total of two miles. The Bandera girls entered 15 teams and delivered a dominant performance, sweeping the top five places.
Milesia Casas and Kaylee Fried captured first place, followed by Aubrie Moore and Olivia Rynarzewski in second. Merry Robinson and Cassi Williams finished third, Xoi Cook and Veronica Ibarra-Villegas placed fourth, and Autumn Prater and Jada Bergfield rounded out the sweep in fifth place.
