The Bandera Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star held a luncheon Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Pap’s Italian Grill in Bandera to celebrate two members for their service at the state level.
Gay Carnes, representative of Tennessee in the State of Texas, was honored and presented a certificate of thanks by Bandera Worthy Matron Sherrie Keese.
Carnes attended the Tennessee state convention and reported back to the Grand Matron of Texas.
Past Worthy Matron Cheryl Meyer also received a certificate of thanks for her work during the past year as District Deputy Grand Matron for District 5, Section 3.
As District Deputy Grand Matron, Meyer was responsible for overseeing and supporting the chapters in her section, which includes Bandera, Blanco, Boerne, Johnson City and Kerrville.
