Mark Eaton, 68, of Medina was arrested Monday night by the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant alleging a violation of Texas sex offender registration requirements.
According to the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office arrest record, Eaton was arrested on the 200 block of FM 2107 at 11:59 p.m. Aug. 17 on a warrant.
The listed charge is “Fail to Comply Sex Off Duty to Reg Life/Annual,” referring to a failure to comply with a sex offender duty to register for life on an annual basis.
Eaton is listed on the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Sex Offender Registry. His registration is lifetime, with quarterly verification required.
DPS' registry lists two offenses from California, both with disposition dates of June 22, 1988. One is listed as oral copulation involving a victim under 14, under California Penal Code 288a(c), with the victim identified as 13.
The second offense is listed as unlawful sex with a minor under California Penal Code 261.5, involving a 14-year-old victim. The judgment is listed as incarceration.
Both involved jail time.
