Three Bandera County students have been awarded scholarships from the Bandera County Farm Bureau.
'We are proud of our students for earning these scholarships,' Bandera County Farm Bureau President Booker Young said. 'This is one of the many ways Farm Bureau invests in the future of our youth and agriculture.'
The local scholarship recipients were: Mary Freeman, daughter of Mitch and Christina Freeman, graduated with a 5.5 GPA and plans to attend Oklahoma State University this fall to study agricultural communications and agribusiness.
Payson Mangold, son of Paul and Amber Mangold, graduated with a 4.0 GPA and plans to attend Texas A&M University this fall to study finance.
Hailee Segura, daughter of Eduardo Segura and Melissa Brambila, graduated with a 3.7 GPA and plans to attend the University of Texas this fall to study psychology.
The three students are among hundreds of scholarship recipients recognized by Texas Farm Bureau, the state's largest general farm and ranch organization.
'They were awarded these scholarships based on their academic achievement, scholastic performance and agricultural involvement,' Young said. 'We know they have a bright future ahead, and we can't wait to see how they will impact Texas in a positive way.'
