Medina Bobcats honored at Missions baseball game for historic season

Medina Bobcats honored at Missions baseball game for historic season

Members of the Medina Bobcat baseball team were recognized during a June 14 game between the San Antonio Missions and Amarillo Sod Poodles, capping off a memorable season for the program.

According to Medina ISD Superintendent Lindsey Kunz, the team was invited to Wolff Stadium through the efforts of the San Antonio Missions organization and Mickey Holt.

During the visit, the Bobcats met players, took the field with the team before the game, were recognized during the second inning, participated in a trivia contest and received Missions merchandise.

The evening ended with the Missions earning a walk-off victory on a home run in the bottom of the 12th inning.

Kunz said the experience was a fitting way to celebrate the accomplishments of the Bobcats following a historic season.

“We are incredibly proud of this team and grateful for an experience our players will remember for years to come,” Kunz said.
