I’m bringing this up now because the fraud argument is being trotted out again for the midterms, and it might be useful for you to have some of the facts available to ward off the highly emotional, false rhetoric that the GOP and its Chief Manipulator will be slinging around.
For example, it is historical fact that the party that is out of power, in this case the Democrats, usually wins back control of at least one house of Congress in the midterms. So, GOP accusations of fraud and “rigging” are being used to predict (and prove) that Democratic wins are not legitimate when in fact they are predictable simply based on election patterns over the past fifty years.
Let’s not abandon evidence, facts and logic just because that is the strategy the Republicans seem to be pinning their hopes on. And let’s commit to casting our votes, and helping our neighbors cast theirs, no matter how difficult it may be.
