Council members debated everything from swimming pools to how they brush their teeth during a meeting in which the Bandera City Council voted to return to Stage 3 water restrictions amid warnings that the region’s punishing drought could become worse than the historic dry spell of the 1950s.

Dave Mauk, general manager of the Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater District, urged conservation at the Bandera City Council’s April 28 meeting, warning drought conditions could worsen.
