Senior guard Brooklyn Grabs will continue her basketball career at the collegiate level after signing with Howard Payne University during a ceremony April 29 at Bandera High School.
Grabs, a four-year member of the Lady Bulldogs varsity basketball program, signed in front of family, teammates, coaches and fellow students as she committed to continue both her academic and athletic career with the Lady Jackets.
In addition to her accomplishments on the court, Grabs earned Honorable Mention Academic All-State recognition during her senior season. The award recognizes student- athletes who excel both academically and athletically.
“She’s been the kind of player every coach hopes for. Tough, coachable and all about the team,” Head Coach Carruthers said. “Watching her earn this opportunity at Howard Payne University has been something we’re all proud of.”
Grabs plans to study business management while competing for Howard Payne following her graduation this month.
