Bandera Independent School District announced multiple postseason honors for Bandera High School soccer players, including all-state, all-region and academic recognitions following the 2026 season.
Jaymin Klein, a junior, was named first-team allstate goalkeeper, recognizing him as one of the top players in Texas at his position.
Several players also earned all-region honors. Alvaro Fernandez-Donat, a junior, was selected as a first-team all-region forward.
Ian Prothro, a sophomore defender, and Maverick Short, a senior midfielder, were both named to the second team.
On the girls side, Kaylee Fried earned second-team all-region honors, while Maddie Garza received honorable mention recognition.
In addition to athletic honors, three Bandera seniors were named to the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches Academic All-State team.
Maverick Short, Noah Waller and Aidan McClintock received the distinction, which is awarded to student-athletes who maintain a grade average of 90 or above throughout their high school careers.
